the ending was... heart stopping

the boy in the striped pyjamas
the most thought provoking, heart wrenching movie I've ever seen
i wanted to scream in anger and frustration
and i wanted to cry at the indignity of it all.
meet Schmuel and Bruno
Bruno is a Nazi's son, Schmuel is Jewish
the story is intriguing and very well done
but i think the powerful ending sets it apart
holocaust movies always make me want to cry

this movie looks so so sad, but thought provoking! I need to watch it one night with a box of tissues in hand!

I really want to see this. This looks like one of those movies that is a must-watch in order to ensure we don't continue to blindly commit atrocities.

This looks good. I saw ads for it a while back and knew I'd be crying at the end. I definitely need to watch it.

Haha, thanks for your funny comment! I love the idea of your boyfriend proposing to you with a necklace! Why not!? :) Yeah, the rings are rather fierce and "dangerous"-looking but that's what I love about them, they've got this awesome edge to them!

Ugh, Holocaust movies are always so sad. There's so many of them too and it's so hard to deal with watching them. They always bring tears to my eyes. I know I saw this movie at the movie renting shop a few months back, picked it up and then opted for a cheerier movie. Hehe...
