i have an obsession with the late 1800's
it is my favorite along with the regency era
{ala Jane Austen}
{and yes i am a history nerd}
everything was so romantic, it seemed
and i love the authors that came from then
louisa may alcott, lm montgomery, thomas hardy...
{these are stills from tess of the d'urbervilles
one of my favorite books.}i haven't seen this version yet.
but i do plan on it, looks lovely.

What a whimsical post!
Let's see I am huge fan of 1920's fashions and sixties fashions. Not hippie, per se but that tailored Jackie-O look or full skirts a la Betty Draper from Mad Men
Ooo this is gorgeous. Love their hats :)
Ooh, I just read Tess of the d'Urbervilles. A lot of things about the plot really bothered me, but it was worth it for the descriptions. I adore the hats in these.
the hats....oh, the hats!
i love this time period too! i am always enchanted by their wardrobes! her hat is darling
